OUR ORIGIN

The story behind
our name and logo

The name “DAEDALUS”

Our name comes from Daedalus, the master craftsman of Greek mythology.

Inspired by the example of his carpenter grandfather, our founder studied architecture and later worked in food and medical device development, while the inner flame for making things never faded.

Daedalus—credited with inventions including the axe, plumb line, level, statues, and the wings of Icarus—embodies the same dedication to craft. The company was named to carry the spirit of generations of makers into the future.

Our logo — OLD AND NEW

The logo combines wings inspired by Icarus with a hammer inherited from our founder’s great-grandfather.

“OLD AND NEW” expresses the principle of learning from the past to create the new, and our commitment to carry the spirit of earlier craftspeople into the future.
